I went to put the car together today and realized that in the process of being apart for almost a year, my throttle cable end decided to make a break for it. It's probably sitting on a beach in Fiji sipping a Mai Tai right now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) I'm talking about the cylindrical piece that slips through the throttle body lever arm and clamps onto the throttle cable, connecting the two. Anybody have one of these to spare. Or, suggestions on alternative solutions are welcome as well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Mark,
I think that is the same barrel nut that is used on the heater flapper boxes. They are $1 new at VW places. I thin Small Car Specialities in Hesperia will have one. I have a VW shop here in Riverside that will have them. I may be able to dig on out of a parts engine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Mark D. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good morning. If it is the same as the ones on the Heater Valve cables, I have a number of NOS "cable locks". If so, send me an address and I can let you have one ABSOLUTELY FREE. Fair ? Thank you, TOMAS. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
