I just talked to Rich. He got a (very) late start yesterday. He's climbing Vail Pass as I write. He should be here in 3 hours or so. Lotsa snow in the mountains today though.

Hi Everyone,

Rich spent a good part of the day here. We picked up the dolly, and he is now the proud owner of a 911!

Herzog just left here, headed to KC, and then on to Indianapolis. It's a long haul, but he still has a pretty good shot at making it to Hershey. Good luck and safe journey, Rich!

Yeah, that's me on the left. Torn work jeans and a beat up old leather jacket.

I got a call from Rich late last night. He missed a turn-off onto the highway and got stuck on base - literally. The guards (with M-16s) at the back gate to post told him to turn the truck around, since he didn't need to be on base... and he got it stuck in the mud. It's been raining here for about 3 days.

Always an adventure, we seem to have.

Yeah, he'll have to push hard. He got some sleep here, so he should be okay.

Hi Brant!

The stand is great... but the tank arrived in less than perfect condition, it was lightly cracked on two corners. I'm going to fill it with water and check for leaks. Not your fault - I think something shifted intransit. Maybe I can get the glass replaced or something.

I'll give you a call so we can talk about all the trinkets you included. I was suprised to see the bioball setup - looks pretty cool.

dang.. sorry about that.
You can replace sides in a glass tank.. but it may or may not be worth doing..

A brand new tank is about 100$, and the labor of rebuilding is a big pain.

send me a note at:

brant914@hotmail.com

and I'll be happy to explain or walk you through any of it.

This stuff looks really good - I'm a happy buyer.

You did a good job cleaning, too. I expected salt everywhere. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Got a text-message from Rich. Not sure where he is, but he's doing okay.

More to follow, if I hear.

The Saga continues...

Rich is in Indy. Apparently, the alternator of the truck he's driving has crapped out on him. He's waiting for the service folks, and still thinks he can make Hershey tomorrow morning.
