I STILL cannot believe Darren pulled off a 40.9 on the Falkens. The next fast BP car was Howard Yao on sticky Kuhmo's (Howard has been AutoX'ing for many years in his BP car) One *slight* bar adjustment on my recomendation and Darren dropped into the low 40's. I watched him go through the first "chicane" and noticed the rear end stepping out on him about 1 foot and then watched his hands as he corrected the car. The next time in the pit area I went to him and told him to tighten the front bar and to go through there FULL throttle instead of the lite brake tap/lift he was doing. Low and behold.. he listened and ran the 40.9 on his last pass. He came back in and said the bar adjustment planted the car solid through that point and several other points on the course. He said he was being a PUSSY and lifting in several area's where the rear end was stepping out on the course.
I like it when people listen. B |
