help me people!!, have to fix my car Options

hello everyone! it's been a-while since i've logged in.
{my office computer crashed,,,& i only have AOL at home}
hope all of you are doing fine.
here is my situation,,,,,,,,,
i screwed up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)
having a-little fun the other night ,,took a left hand turn {sweet curve} intentionally drifted into it,
and went too far. hit the curb w/ my right rear wheel.
now my car handles like a ford pinto!
i can't see any damage to the body
{broken welds,,bent metal etc.}
could i have bent the A arm?
{i think that is what you call the rear suspention console}
if so ,,,i have parts cars i can steal one off of.
just replaced all 4 bushings in the rear last week!

to make it even worse,,,,the wife's car bit the dust
yesterday.
so i have a two seater ,,,a wife,,,& 3 kids
needless to say we're kind-of stuck at home.
will it hurt to drive like this?
if i can find out how,,,it will be fixed this weekend.

If you can find an alignment shop that KNOWS 914s...get there and see how out of line it is.....hopefully your rear is just been adjusted by your smack....if not, a new arm isn't too expensive.

A-Arms in front; trailing arms in back.

bent trailing arm (at least) is what i'd expect.

you will need to, at minimum, remove the halfshaft, disconnect the bottom of the spring/damper strut, disconnect the caliper and tie it up, remove the trailing arm from the suspension console, do the same to your parts car, re-install the unbent trailing arm, re-assemble in reverse order, set the toe by eys and v-e-r-y caryfully drive it to a 914-aware alignment shop for a rear alignment; call first to make sure they have the appropriate shims (doubt it but it doesn't hurt to call first; there are replacement shims available...)

i'm in approximately the same position, except that the 911 is driveable (low oil pressure) and there are but two of us.

thanks for the advice,,,good luck w/ the 911 problem!
hopefully replacing the trailing arm will make it drive right. how expensive would the alignment be??

Well, I have not done what you did (so far) and hit a curb or anything, have you checked your wheel in the rear? What wheels are you running? Fuch, pedrinis, mahles, rivieras? You may have only bent a wheel depending on how hard you hit. I would start with the least expensive stuff and work my way in. If you dont see any damage to the wheel, you may not have done much to the suspension. If the wheel is bent, it may not show till you jack it up and spin it. Start there. Post the results so we know what you have.

What's wrong with the wife's car? If there's one thing I've learned in my 1 year of marriage it's "always fix the wife's car first" (actually I think I figured that out before we even got married) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

onrails...what did you paint those tins with? Is that a match to the body color and if so does it work?

yes,, it is the same color as the car,,,,,painted it about 3
months ago,{enamel,high gloss} it has stayed shiney &
hasn't bubbled off. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

pain in our ass.

i have spun the wheel,,,,{riv} didn't seem too bent.
i will change out the arm,,,,hopefully it will fix it.
