My vac advance on my old distributor was bad, so I replace the whole distributor with a new reman. Now it seems to be missing and it's sluggish. The dwell is good and the timing is right. It ran better with the old one and bad vac advance.
Any ideas? 73 1.7 |

check the tigger points. Some of the reman ones come effed up free of charge.

Yes. We have been seeing a LOT of Brazilian junk (trigger points) This was one of the issues with DaveD's car.

You got it. Hook up a timing light and watch the flash. We do this 4-5 times a week at the shop. We also watch for ignition problems this way (DUH!!)

with the old dist. the timing was very smooth.
with the reman the timing is very jumpy! |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Swap the trigger points from the old dist to the new one and get new points and condenser. Or upgrade to Pertronix.
