I have a relatively new PC with Win 7 and was using IE 9. I also have Kaperskys anti-virus. IE was constantly puking, dying, etc. Plus it is slow.
So, I switched over to Chrome. Much, much faster, but quirky. With IE, I could click on a post, read it, hit back, and it would refresh the page so that any new or updated posts would be at the top with the symbol showing that there is new content. Not so with Chrome. Additionally, Chrome also "loses" back pages, which is kind of frustrating. I have not compared Firefox yet. I know that it has its issues as well. Would love to hear Andy's opinion here. |

I changed from Firefox to Google Chrome, wouldn't go back for anything. Once you get used to searching or navigating in the same address line you can't go back to using the clunky browsers any more. And you can synchronize everything between all the browsers you use on any computer, so you're at home wherever you are. I love that.
And it's FAST! |

I used to use Firefox, still do at work. It's gotten clunky and slow IMO. Once you set up chrome the way you want it to behave, it rocks. Still need ie or Firefox for a couple sites though.

IE is the bottom of the barrel. Any alternative will be better.
I use Firefox as well. |

Isn't Google Chrome "the enemy" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) I like Firefox (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) I agree but sleep with the enemy (chrome user) Only be afraid of how much power google has. Firefox is a strong number 2 in my op. |

I use chrome and FF and IE (on my locked down work machine only). I tend to prefer fire fox.

Dump IE9 and go back to 8. FF got clunky and error prone.

Chrome is cool and I use it, but I like Firefox as well.
The thing I hate about Chrome has less to do with its usability (great) than with its installation configurability. Chrome insists on installing on your standard Windows application location on the C: drive, and the installation doesn't let you change that. If you can live with that restriction, knock yourself out. I installed Chrome on my XP box, but I use Firefox on my Win7 box. I still use IE sometimes... the remote access to my work intranet does not support Firefox. But I always shower after using IE to avoid that "not so fresh" feeling. |

The enemy? Of who, Apple? Think bigger. Much bigger ... Other than that, Chrome works OK, but it has it's quirks. I actually work with 5 major browsers every day. All our code needs to work flawlessly in these: - Firefox - Chrome - Internet Explorer - Opera - Safari (IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif) |

I use 3 flavors of MS Windows, 1 apple and have been a LINUX-Ubuntu fan for 4 years.
Running Ubuntu 11.10 currently on a small 5-system home network with a separate NAT box (for those who care). This version is a great replacement home operating system now, even for the PC neophytes, as it were. Past versions of LINUX were not that friendly for home users but I can solidly say it has finally reached that hurdle and surpassed it. CHROME is the future (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) Become the Borg (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) |

I've been using Linux (Fedora) for years. Windows blows! I only keep one XP machine around for games. Firefox is the way to go for a browser.

FireFox on three versions of Windows and several Ubuntu (10.04 and 11.10) boxes does the trick in my house. IE doesn't give me enough scripting control as easily as FF does.

I don't use a browser. I have a direct hard line to the 914world server. It cost a bundle but it was worth it.

I use Safari on my ipad and it drops the page while trying to do PM's on this site after updating to 5.0. Maybe it's my iPad?
