i can scarcely imagine what i'll find in the cooling fins of my car; fortunately, the oil temp remains under good control even in spirited driving on warm days. but i know the fan's sucked up at least one paper towel - i've been pulling bits of it out the spark plug holes for weeks ...
but now you know why we tell people to look for this kind of thing before diving headalong into remote oil coolers ... |

After I bought my 74 and took the engine out, I found a large section of vacuum hose wound up inside the cooling fan. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif)
Just figured it was another contribution from the PO's wanna-be mechanic. |
