Found this car advertised for sale in Eugene, OR (100 miles south of Portland). Went to see it and was ready to write a check. Decided marriage might not survive another 914 so posted it on the Club classifieds last week. It is now on its way to Florida, purchased by a Club member looking for a concours quality car. It has 84K miles, owned by same woman since 1980 (50K miles) and babied like you would not believe. It is a '75 2.0. New owner has already lined up a set of refinished 2.0 Fuchs. Take a look.

She had clear plastic covers tailored for the seat cushions. Easily removable for show.

Console in last pic is something she had made and is removable.
She hid a spare key in the jack spur!

Looks new. I had those wheels on mine when it was a daily driver. Always liked them.

And to think mine looked like that at one time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Car is going to West Palm Beach. I'll leave it to the new owner to "come out" when he's ready. He did not steal the car, but it is worth more than he paid in my opinion.
Yep, I should have bought it, but I have 4 Porsches now. Want to keep 1 wife!

Jim,

Thanks so much for all you did to help Josh purchase this 914. You are a great guy. Also the lady that owned the car for the last 24 years seems like she was really cool.
I've become friends with the new owner. Josh and I have spent hours on the phone in the last few months looking for the right 914. He is very excited about the arrival of his Sunflower Yellow 2 liter. It will be in great hands. His father owned a 914 when he was younger and this helped feed his desire to own one himself. Thanks again Jim for helping make this all happen for Josh.
