I saw this radio offered by Porsche for old cars. But it only works in Europe.

So I got to looking around and found this from JVC. The JVC KD-NX5000. It has been discountinued but I have found remaining stock on the net. I picked up a new one for $259.00. I then got another one used for my Lotus for $200.00. The Porsche one is 700 Euros.

I think it's a nice update without having to cut the dash up.

I think I am going to run a simple set up that powers speakers and hides away:

I like the Simple system and have not seen one of those before. The other stereo with the GPS is cool too!

FYI - these guys Woodys-Custom-Shop sell a simpler setup which wires into your classic radio for I-pod/phone & 3.5mm jack items to do the same thing, their shop is in Costa Mesa & should be at the Porsche swap meet in Anaheim Phoenix Club this Sunday - for those interested.

.... and on evil-bay -

Lotsa other goodies for p-car & classic car audio too, including up-to-date retro look radios/audio decks.
