While on a test drive I notice there is alot of play in the clutch pedal, when its almost fully up is when it grabs. I tried to tighten the adjustment nut by the fork and no change. When I had the trans off the clutch pad looked pretty good. Whats up with this.

By tightening the nut you are engaging the clutch. It's like stepping on the pedal. Back off on the nut. You want the clutch to disengage later.

I had a huge problem of my clutch always not being in adjustment...
Adjust it one week, and have to adjust it again (tighter) the next. Result? Well lets just say that with this other clutch in my v8, I set it to an inch play (more like 2... have to chop off the clutch cable threads to get a little more in to set it in the disengage in the middle more) in the clutch, ie pull back the clutch and it goes twards you an inch, and its shifting disengaging/engaging GREAT! NO more grinding.. EVEN while the idle is at 2k!!!! |
