Another Weber Question:
i just got my new velocity stacks from CB-Performance (very nice product, actually) and i was going to put them on my 40 Webers. Currently, i don't have *any* stacks on there and now i think i know why ... the studs that come out the top that hold the linkage plate etc. are only about 10mm long (on the outside) and as soon as i put the stacks on, i don't have any thread left for the nut to grab! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) so, i'm going to need longer studs, i think at least 20mm on the outside ... anyone here who has 8 lying around or knows where to buy a set? Take your vise grips and grab onto the studs and back them out. Not a big deal.
Than use bolts to hold the stacks on. You'll need two length of bolts because the inside (or outside) ones bottom out in the carb body before they tighten up in the base of the stack. Easy as pie. Been holding mine on for years Paul |

Yep, I used some Chrome Allen Bolts that came with my air cleaner setup from CB. I think it looks pretty good too.
