Talked with a buddy of mine who has a 914-6 who took it to a vette track day a few weeks back. He said he was pretty surprised to see only one or two of the vetts could keep up with him. He has probably 224RWhp right now and R compound tires with 11 and 9" flares on 17" fuchs. So an agressive 914-6 to say the least.
My question is, he has a lot of respect for the sbc, more so for the aluminum blocked ones. Does anyone here use them? Are they OHC engines? I think the light wieght of the sbc makes it tempting to do a hybrid conversion. But do these enginges cost $10k or something? Come one you V8 guys, I want to hear your thoughts on this one.
