VW P/N 022 906 041 A Bosch P/N 0280 130 017 I prefer new. Let me know what you have. Thanks PS, I just tore the rubber gromet the fits around the wire and the engine tin. Any lead on where to buy a replacement would be appreciated. |

One chance in hell you will find a new one. The 012 will work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) However, you can get the "012" HTS and simply ad a 270 ohm 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistor in series with it..........Just know this, though, The minimum resistance to the "brain will always be 270 ohms regardless of the resistance offered by the original HTS. This "should not present a problem though, as the enrichment circuit looks at anything below 300 ohms to be a fully warmed engine. |

Thanks for the tip, but I thought the 73 2.0L had the balast resistor from the factory. Can you elaborate? |

Go to autohausaz.com and look up 74 2.0 914. 012 are listed under fuel injection $12.35. Go to Radio Shack and buy 270 ohm resistor for under $2. Put the ends on the resistor to plug in. Heat shrink resistor to protect it. Not sure if the factory resistor is still available. Porsche's last price was around $55 if you just go to have the factory one. Resistor was always a plug in item.
