Very cool. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Out of curiosity, what size (diameter) are the manifolds?

Two cases, two cranks and 4 heads welded together, been done a few times.
May look cool but a /6 or V8 would make more power, last longer and would cost less.

The 1.6L is an industrial version of the T4.
One of the primary uses was NATO mobile artillery IIRC.
Formula Super Vee used that engine for their series for a few years before moving on to 1.6L rabbit engines.

Those short manifolds were intended for Solex carbs.
I think I have a pair here somewhere.

The "V" in the case stamping makes it one of the European cases that were magnesium. I remember that you were supposed to run away from those cases. The info was in one of the old VW engine books I had.
