Just moved and can't find my 914 manual on DVD. Worse, I can't remember how to get the front air dam off. IIRC, you have to take off the bumper first. Help me get this done without my having to find my manual first. Thanks!

yes - bumper first.
donno 'bout 73+ but prior to that, it's 2 bolts each side in the forward inner fender well. then a series of 6mm(?) fasteners across the front and one each side on the bottom lip of the forward fender - those are 8mm ATF IIRC... (been a long time...)
