Seems that there are 75 of us online sometimes.

How about a place to chat?

Regards,

Karl

A Chat Room would be good, I never see people on the chat room on Pelican but I always see more people on here than on that forum and I never really post all the time and usually do other stuff. I like the idea but I don't know how feesible it would be.

i think a chat room will lead to too many re-asked questions. on the BBS, you can search for a topic that may have already been covered, and documented into a nice easy to print out thing, where as a chatroom, you could be asked the same question 5000000 times and it wouldnt be documented at all....

just my $9.14

Hey there were a few chatters on last night. You just have to take a look every once in a while. Most times there's no one, but every once in a while you get a couple of patient people waiting to chat. It's generally just car talk rather than technical questions.

GWN7, Mockmaw, nice talking to ya! Thanks Brad et al for keeping it around.

sorry! i change my mind.....I find myself idle, just waiting for a response on a topic....sometimes, 10-15 minutes go by before a post happens......

NO offense, but the ALL 914 chat is a joke....no one really knows about it, so no one goes there.

i think a chat option would be cool.
is this something that could be done thru AIM? have a designated chatroom? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

People know about All914 chat and it's a decent setup... but few of us have the time to sit in a chat room for hours.

Now AIM.. that's a joke. Spam-IMs, Porn-IMs, etc.

Um Aaron..

We used to have 20-30 people every night during the winter in that chat room. It works well and is solid. Any more than 10 people chatting at once and its a pain to keep up.
