Installed my new aluminum wheel caps today from 914rubber. WOW! These really look sharp! The old ones were dented from tire changing monkeys. My crest stickers were mismatched red/yellow and red/gold. Two stickers fell off on my last tire change. I decided I like the clean look of no crests. Also, I tossed my wheel bolts back in my media tumbler. I really need to hit them with some clear paint so they don't rust again. Some chrome lugs are on my wish list too. Before and after pics. Enjoy!
Car is sitting a little high in the back since I just dropped it down off the jack. Attached thumbnail(s) |

My wheel caps look like your old ones, all beat-up too. Yours look great, I may just order new ones.
I also thought about putting similar crest stickers on, but after looking at your wheels, I think I will leave them clean looking too. Thanks for posting pics. |

Here is link to 914Rubber wheel caps. I got them from Mikey last year and they made a big improvement in my wheels' appearance. They are solid and not flimsy like the original caps.

I had the stickers on one side and none on the other. The more I looked at it, the better I liked the clean look. These caps are much thicker and won't dent like the factory caps. I still used wood blocks to tap them in just in case. |

Did a search and found this forum, figured it was a good place to ask a question...
I bought a set of center caps off a member a while back and they don't fit. Is there a plastic clip or something that holds it in the wheel? Or did he just sell me the wrong caps? I posted a picture of my wheels so anyone responding to my wtb post would know what wheels I had. Any info would be much appreciated! Chad |

I placed some grease on the wheel hole to make is slide easier. I got a PCV piece that fits the outer lip of the caps which I use to hammer them in. |

I bought a set from Mickey last year and love the bare look. We have the same factory wheel finish and I think it looks much better bare; like the ladies. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

My problem is that the caps I bought are too small, but then again they aren't from Mike so who knows where they came from.

Could also be that the wheels you have arent Factory Alloy's?
Eagle also makes a repop of the Fuch wheels but the center hole is larger to fit their funky fluted plastic caps. |

On the back of the wheel itself there is a Porsche part number. I don't think the re-pops have anything resembling a part number on the back. If you do a search on this forum, I'm sure you can find a picture of the back of a Fuchs rim (or better yet try the classifieds).
