Jake Raby posted, a few years back, a pict of a good T4 pump, a failing pump and a failed pump. All three were (IIRC) next to each other on a table or shelf. I did not bookmark it at the time. But it's something that would be helpful to have on hand. Help me find it.

First person to post it in this thread gets a cookie of thier choosing.

Valy would probably know, he posted about the issue. Mine failed too - nicked up the cam rivets. The PO assumed a thrown rod. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
