My throttle body on 75 1.8L will not return to idle when revved. It will return to lower RPM @ 1200 or so. Can these be rebuilt? I think there is play in the shaft which causes the valve inside to stick. I think this is a very common problem for 1.8's so finding a used one may not be best option. Would like to know how others have solved this. Thanks

I simply fixed mine by taking apart and cleaning it. I also tweaked the return spring for slightly more tension.

....Maybe just spring tension? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

They can have bushings installed. I don't know offhand of anyone who does that, but any decent machinist should be able to.
