75 914/4 2.0

First, thanks to everyone that has helped me as I've slowly made progress with my project. Everyone has been very helpful and you all deserve a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Onward as I go through the fog...

How does the ECU and bracket mount to the firewall? I do see where some clips may slip into the ECU back side, but the bracket has nothing that I can see to hold it to the firewall or to the actual ECU.

I know I'm missing something.

Thanks (again),

Len

ECU mounts to the firewall side of the battery bracket. Between the bracket and the firewall.

If A/C was installed at the dealer (or by a later party), the ECU usually gets relocated to the firewall with some L brackets. But originally it was hanging on the front side of the battery tray.

I'm not being very clear.

I have the bracket that looks like a L which is for the ECU.

I don't know where or how the bracket attaches to anything AND I don't see how the ECU is attached to the bracket.

I'll take another look see, but for now it remains a mystery to me.

DUH, nevermind.

The bracket attaches to the battery tray... I see it now.

Car HAD A/C, but for now the rebuild is going without it. I see why also.

Thanks!
