I have the taco plate off and looking at the send unit for my factory temp gauge (1974 with small red zone).

Attached are pics of the sending unit. I can see "VDO" and "7.73" on the nut. Is this the 200C or 120C or 150C sending unit?

The 7.73 is the date it was manufactured. The temp will be stamped on one of the other flats, so unscrew the sender to get a look at the other flats.

Sounds like it is original sending unit (with manufacture date 7/73). What temp sending units did the factory ship? 120/150 or 200C?

I'm thinking I am just going to order the VDO gauge and sender from Pelican anyways....but still curious.
