I was putting together the cam I bought from Jake Raby and noticed it did not come with star washers. Does anyone know if Jake stopped using them or are they just missing and I can get some from my local hardware store?

I know I should get on Jake's forum, but I don't want to join Facebook just for that.

As a rule, nothing from a 'hardware store' goes inside my engine.

Does Jake still come by here? He may answer your question here.

When I installed my cam Red Loctite and no washers was Jake's approved method. I've done two since like that.

Yup, no star washers. Red LocTite. Grind the backs of the bolts down.

Red loctite. Check clearance. Grind bolts if needed.
also, the cam and gear are indexed. Make sure they are right before you loctite the bolts into place.
