I think IDA are wider center to center. I don't think I've seen a IDA for a T-4 before.
I'm sure I'll be corrected if I wrong (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) Paul |

Mike,
Those should just bolt up to any of the normal DRLA/IDF Manifolds that are available for type 4 engines. I have an extra set of short manifolds if you are interested. Are those TB's from CB performance ? How do you mount the fuel rail ? |

Jake had these IDA's on a motor but I think they made less power than 44IDF's but the customer demanded IDA's anyway. He's not a big fan of IDA's but maybe his new heads will work better with them. I talked to a guy that had them on his 914 and he had to cut away the rear bulkhead to make room for them. Look how the intake manifold flares out to accomodate them. Attached image(s) |

IDAs suck on a TIV! I have many, many times made more power with a 44IDF on a TIV with stock heads- No matter how wildly modified.
With my new heads that won't hold true, because we can actually use the Volume. Use the IDF manifold. It is much more friendly and universal. The CB Throttle bodies suck because they only come in 48mm, thats is too much for a TIV unless its a 2800+ If you use them, machine some bushings to drop that down to around 44mm Max |

Mike, I am running something like these....
I think that you will find that there is some differences in the linkage side to side....Why? I don't know.... I would think that there would be a mirror image... I am still working on getting the throttle bodies syncronized....pain in the ass..... In fact, I will go do it right now.... On the other hand, these work great with MS... |
