I am interested in your conversion.

What was the deciding factor in your choice of engine and did you have any install peculiarities unique to that engine.

Would you make the same engine choice again?

Drove a narow bodied 3.2 conversion. Seller sold it out from under me after I told him I would take it. German buyer offered him $2K more than his asking price ($10K) I didn't get the car but the next day I told Scotty B I was doing a 6. Many people have said the 3.2 is a great conversion motor. Strong engine, reasonable price, starts easily in any weather, doesn't require as much mods as a 3.6, I didn't want carbs, a little easier on the trans than a 3.6, tons of support and spare parts, active tech forum on pelican, ect.

3.2 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Having owned a 3.2 Carrera with low mileage and a 2.7 914 fresh rebuild with carbs I had perspective. I chose the 3.2 because I feel it's a great engine that suits the 914. In the lighter 914 it should be plenty lively but very tame with its DME injection... Best of both worlds.

I have a 3.2 in this car. It is primarily a track day toy and loads of fun (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

I love my 3.0L!

I kept the injection but modified it to fit without cutting into the trunk!

I think it comes down to what motor you can find and your budget!! It's all about money!

I have an '89 stock 3.2 going into my car. It will be disassembled and refreshed first. I decided on the 3.2 because it is a terrific engine that just funds without any fuss. As light as these cars are, the 3.2 will be quite sufficient for a daily driver.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha...funny!

Come on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) we all have fingers firmly planted in our ear screaming LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!

OK...If you have to budget I'd say $15K is a good starting point. Hacks can be done for a lot less, many have spent a lot more.
