I think that special 914 was only available in europe and was basically just a 914 with a dash plaque. Silver something.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Silver series ...

'75 only and German market only. VINs should be between 475.29.11224 - 11366. Somewhere between 100 and 142 made, depending on the source.

They were fully loaded with all available options and painted in Diamond Silver Metallic (L97A).

The 916 had the front spoiler/splitter to create downforce which increased the drag.

Note that the early 914/4 and the /6 both had a CD of 0.37.
The /4 went to 0.38 in '73 probably due to the front bumper changes.

The valance went from the deep one to the shallow one in MY 72, I believe. It stayed shallow for the rest of the model's lifespan.

definitely not with all available options, but with everything they had around - just to clear the storage

here's a pic of an original "Silberserie" that a friend used to own
this car had just a few extras, far from "fully loaded"
