Hey guys, I'm taking numbers on my six chassis to see how everything specs... I have a question about this measurement from the "hole" in the firewall to the hole in the suspension console pivot shaft .... what or where is the "hole" in the firewall this is in reference to? Is this on a 4 only? I have no hole that is 28.25'' from the console pivot shaft hole.

Thanks Jeff, so it's a measurement for the 4's.... what about a 6? Maybe a number from the suspension console pivot shaft hole to the engine mount bolt hole? Anyone have a number?

* PO did some (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) on suspension console and I'm trying to establish if it is still within spec...

That hole pictured (For the main wiring harness) is *not* in the center but instead offset quite a bit to the right.

It is not useful for the measurement in question ...

I think they are talking about the small hole in the middle of the firewall. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

My six doesn't have that hole? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Would it be accurate to measure across the firewall (side to side) and divide that in half to establish a center point to triangulate to?

I think the hole in question is all the way on top ...

Tried that one as well.... numbers don't work there either? That's a 30'' + measurement.

I clipped this from a well known restoration thread and that's where I thought it was referring to as well Andy?

I'm still trying to establish a correct reference point... but if I use the upper hole in the firewall (Andy's arrow) I'm 3/16'' out from one side to the other.

I'm just not certain about the hole being on center so I wanted to cross reference with what others had done.
