OK..... so I just finished installing new rear bearings and hubs on my 914. This is the third time I have done this procedure...... and each time I forget to store the combination of special parts needed to do the hub installation.
All-thread Washers nuts 1.5" diameter thing 2" diameter thing 3" diameter thing This is the set up suggested on the BIRD site. ...... Before I end up losing this set, I am offering it up for free use if anyone in the Bay Area needs to do this procedure to their 914. It's not a big deal, but it usually takes me a few trips to the hardware store(s) to find the right diameter parts to do the job. And if you have never done this procedure (which is very satisfying, BTW), I can give you tips on what NOT to do. Cheers. PM me if you are interested. |
