Im planning on going I live about 5 miles from the track. Will be in an orange teener or black/silver Healey. Talking about 100% rain Saturday but may change.
Always a good show, amazing what shows up for the Mitty!

Hope to see you there. We'll be camping between vendor village and the infield tunnel ... look for the black Ford Expedition with the Triumph TR7 in tow.

I just set up our pit today. I am helping with a 73 911 RS #145. We are in the back corner of the original pits next to heritage motorsports....

I was going with the kids, but it looks like solid rain all day on Saturday. No fun with 4 year-olds.

We are heading up later on Friday....couldn't get out of work until 3 and its a 3 hr drive. So...we'll be wet on Saturday looks like.
Our first time to the Mitty...one day i need a car to run in it!

Won't have the 914, its getting some much needed body fixing love right now. We'll be in the yellow GT3.

Where can we park with an infield pass? Anywhere? Only ever been to Petit and club events at RA.

Other than the paddock and vender village you can park about any place, no where near the size of the Petit crowd.

OK, didn't know if there were any car corrals or anything for Porsche people. I know the track very well - love to drive it and have been to Petit for the past 10 years. I saw on the website a few clubs have things but nothing seemed PCA or Porsche related.

We have a friend running a few cars - his team (Hawk and CRP) put this video together. He owns the 994 Cup from the old Playboy/Escort Cup series (at 1:56...and that's him driving right after that shot), the #2 yellow Crager Camaro (at 1:03), the #37 black/white/red Vette (at 0.49) an old Indy car and a bunch of other very cool race and street cars....

Watch this video and tell me it doesn't get your blood pumping for this event!!!

So....I met someone at the Mitty this weekend and for the life of me I can't remember who? Nadine and I had just gotten a sandwich and I REALLY had to go to the restroom so I was kinda in a rush to put lunch down at a table...., so I was a little short on my conversation.

Who was it and let me apologize for the quick exit. I would have LOVED to talk 914 and the race in different circumstances....

BTW, lots of very fast 914's there, especially Frank Beck....awesome seeing him pass a couple Cayman Interseries cars!!!

I asked for set of the results to be e-mailed to me, will post when i get them. Dragged the wife in just for Sunday, so arrived during the class with older 911's and 914 2 liter 6's. left just after the class with later 911's and the Brumos 2.5 L six.
More later, big files

Some big buck programs there with big rigs and tent cities.
