I am getting ready to list my car and was looking around for values. I saw Hagarty, according to their description my car is a "number 2 or 3". Should I trust these values?

Thanks for any input,
Finn

I think you are overestimating the condition of your car

No reflection on your car, but generally speaking owners do overvalue the condition of their cars, so you'll want to post updated pictures to show potential buyers the condition of your 914 today.

Finn,

Your car may be worth the Hagerty value but it comes down to what someone will pay. The 75 is not the most desirable year and at $16k it has to be perfect. Needs nothing. Still since it's a 75, it may sit for a while. Best bet is to throw it on ebay with a $16k reserve. Toward the end of the auction, if there are no bites, lower the reserve to gain interest in the auction.

Good luck with the sale.

BTW, there are many dealers sitting on cars in the $16k-$17k range. Sitting.

Did you spend $2k on the paint or 8k. Was it all glass out. Did you paint exterior or the whole car. The build pic showed some prior ghetto rust repair, what about rust repair in all the typical hot spots. Who rebuilt the engine and trans and what documentation is provided. Have the brakes and suspension been rebuilt or just in good working condition. Does every switch in the car work perfectly. There's a huge difference in a 12k car vs 24k car. More than just a re spray. GLWTS.
