So my door catch is stuck closed. The door is not latched to the car, the door is open, the latch just won't move. It feels that it is locked but I have the lock lever open. any tips to fixing it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar situation. I can open from the inside handle but not from the outside handle.

I'll be following this hot read with interest....

You have to take the door handle and inner door mechanism out of the car's door and clean it. Soak it in some sort of cleaner for a while, wipe, brush, and re-lubricate.

You'll be amazed how good they can actually work when clean.

You probably need to replace the plastic piece in the door handle that pushes the latch lever. They're cheap and pretty easy to do.
