So my door catch is stuck closed. The door is not latched to the car, the door is open, the latch just won't move. It feels that it is locked but I have the lock lever open. any tips to fixing it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar situation. I can open from the inside handle but not from the outside handle. I'll be following this hot read with interest.... |

You have to take the door handle and inner door mechanism out of the car's door and clean it. Soak it in some sort of cleaner for a while, wipe, brush, and re-lubricate.
You'll be amazed how good they can actually work when clean. |
