I bought a 914 that came with parts in the trunk. I found a "brain" for a 1.8L engine. How do I tell if it's functional? I don't have a 1.8L engine to plug it into, and don't know anyone who does. I live in LA, so if anyone has an engine I can try, maybe we can meet up. In the meantime, is there any other way to tell if it works?

Hook it up to a FI brain tester. They do come up for sale every once in a while.
I believe Jeff Bowlsby has one, maybe he can test it for you? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |
