Hi all...had a great day fixing a few little things on my car today using a friends lift.
While I was under it I noticed there was some in and out movement in the transmission output flanges. Is this normal? It felt like it was loose so I unbolted the inner CV joint, but it was very tight. Just some slop in there. We have a spare transmission on hand and there is some play in it's output flanges as well.
I hope this is normal.
Thanks,
Mike

Weird, I was about to post exactly the same question. I have the axles off my car right now and noticed there was a little in and out play too. I checked the torque on the expansion bolt and it was 19ft/lbs, so I was wondering if it was normal too.
