So the PO had the carpet out for inspection and I want to put it back down. Any suggestions on adhesive? The paint is clear and glossy still on the floors so I would rather not damage it...and it doesn't really look like there as much on there before.

Thanks! looking forward to reading up on others experiences with their 914!

I used 3M carpet and trim adhesive from the local auto parts store and it's held up great. I've also used two sided carpet tape in the past when I've wanted to be able to remove the carpet piece for cleaning.

Thanks! I was thinking about the double sided tape or maybe hook and loop. I used 3m on my 911 re carpet. It holds latest but man what a mess. The 911 is a hot rod the 914 is a beauty queen. Lol

So these car have throw me some surprises before.....but I was floored (pun intended) at how well the carpets fit. Makes sense that there was no old adhesive now.Attached Image
