I've done some google searches, but can't find a definitive answer.

Anyone here have a hookup with the wine and cheese group? It was a 1972-73 color, I'm pretty sure.

In the other code (as used on a 914/6) it is 40 as in 4010.
It depends on the type of code you use.

No, not a stock color. On any 914 four or six it would have had code 98 for custom (but stock) paint. Code 99 (never heard of one yet) was for paint to color sample supplied. What I meant was that the early 914/6 used the xx10 code, and 40 is the code for Aubergine in that code style.

I was told of one factory aubergine six... but I've never seen one.
