I got the impression the builder was all about the money that could be made replacing the parts. That was just my take, I may be wrong.

Thanks for sharing these youtube links. In the 2nd link, the author is a well known shop that "used" so call inspected parts to rebuild customers trans and engine's . Needless to say, many many customers received their " rebuilt " engine and trans that were not worth a plug nickel- that's why there's a wear limit / tolerance on the parts. Im not saying one cannot reuses certain parts. But if it were mine, replace it once and be done with it. New parts cost $ , then what's your time worth too?

No beer, no pizza, no craziness - certainly not a Doc Evil tranny clinic, but worth watching none the less.

No beer, no pizza, no craziness - certainly not a Doc Evil tranny clinic, but worth watching none the less. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I'm mean, like what's the point? Just to, like, fix a transmission? Without a nice cold (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) ? Without PanelBilly's fresh corn on the cob? Why do one without the other, when you can have both? |
