yeah, get the one with the "M" package (not to be confused with a M3!!!) ...

test drove a Z3 "M" in 1999/2000, great car but too small for me.
my nose was about 2" away from the top windshield frame ...

Ask Rich at HPH - I remember listening to him talking to a Z3 owner about the problems with older cars and he seemed well aware.

If I recall it was the front and rear subframes no longer wishing to remain on intimate terms (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

But I could be wrong...
