Hi everyone, I am ready to install my seat belts and need some help figuring out how to install. I included a picture. Where does the part I am pointing to go in relation to the belt? Thanks in advance. If someone has a picture of one installed that would be great.

I believe it mounts with and behind the retract-er assembly. The round loop portion is where the bolt passes through using the same bolt as the retract-er. They simply guide the belt into the retract-er so it doesn't get twisted as it winds back up.

Thanks for the response....after looking at it for a few minutes that is what I thought but wasn't 100% sure.

The pointed thing on the reel part goes through the round loop on the chrome part.

Then, you bolt it to the firewall.

To add to the above, the reason you have the metal loop is that the belt reel only works if the belt is pulled straight down. It won't work if it is pulled in any other direction.

The metal loop makes sure that the belt always pulls correctly on the reel no matter where the rest of the belt is pointed at.
