What is the diameter of the crankcase breather hoses on a 72 with a 1.7L ?

On our 914 high flow air filter kits we use an SAE hose barb (push on) for a 3/8" (id) hose. This is usually a 1/2" od hose. Slightly different in metric, but a nice snug fit for the crankcase breather fitting.
