PO supplied what look like 911 engine mounts with the gearbox which wasn't fitted when I got the car,I see they are solid rubber without the cutouts like the stock 914 ones.
Expect them to be a little stiffer which can't be a bad thing, seem to fit ok,are they ok to use?,thanks in advance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

If they are 911 engine mounts and bolt up they are way better than stock if you do any performance driving like autocross. Mine transmit a hair more noise. They do an excellent job of keep the engine and trans from moving under hard cornering. Definitely improved the handling of the car and shifting in hard driving. The stock mounts really let things move around a lot. I had brand new oem trans mounts and swapped them for the 911 mounts.

Thanks ,kinda thought that was the case but not 100% sure, the mounts are old but still in great condition, would make a more stable setup when shifting for sure.
Got a great PM from another member so have answered that, thanks.

+1 here for the 911 mounts, have had mine in since the gearbox was rebuilt about 5 years ago, other ones were probably original to the car and really were shot, the 911's work great-
