I looks like the one I have on Elvira, except mine is Fiberglass. If this one has rust, it must be metal. I would like to bid, but I don't want to go against another 914Club member. Do you want it Scott?
* Note * - There is no rust on my bumper. That is a reflection of the driveway. Attached image(s) |

No, Help yourself. I am going with a 916 rear bumper and the valance is already built in. Go for it.

All 70-71's had the deep rear valance with a hole for exhaust. However 4 and 6 are different. Elvira is wearing a repro. fiberglass six version. The one on ebay appears to be a 4 cyl. version. Notice how close the hole is to the outer end of the bumper on Elvira vs the Ebay valance. Six has hole farther to the left.

That's an early 4 valance- made for a 1.7. I'd like to have it for a two pipe sport muffler project...and save my NOS six version.
My look-a-like six exaust features a six size tailpipe welded to my 2.0 muffler. DH Attached image(s) |

i'm watching it, but i'm a little put off by the $45 shipping & "handling" ...
i'll probably hate myself some day, but i can't really be buying 914.6 parts right now, other than the 914 will probably inherit the 2,2 after i put the 2,7 i just finished the deal on in the 911... |

Don't buy it for a six. It will not fit with stock six (911) banana muffler. As stated above, it is for a 4cyl muffler.

a 914.6 muffler is not a 911 muffler... the tailpipe is different ... however - thanks for the heads' up on the 4/6 difference; i definitely don't need any 4 parts ... |

Well, if anyone here buys it, I am local to the guy and you can just tell him that I will pick it up for you. I bet I can ship it for less than $45.00.

You are right Rich. I remembered that after my post. A 911 muffler on a six will fit with the notch in a late 4 cyl. valance (and probably the early "deep" 4 valance as well). A proper stock six muffler requires the six valance. But then, who can find/afford a factory 914-6 muffler. I suspect when mine goes I will buy a 911 muffler and modify the outlet.
