OK, WTF is going on with the BBS? I've saved several posting throughout the years, then refer back to them as needed. Well, I wanted to go back to the Optima battery posting that showed the phone number and the group 78 hold-down clamp. Here's the link I saved:
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act=...=16441&view=old but when I click on this link, it takes me to a steering wheel shake. I know this link was working a couple of weeks ago, but now it doesn't. So, how do I save a link and go back several months/years later and retrieve it? Does the BBS renumber the links? |

Nope. Saved it under my favorites. I was able to retrieve the correct posting a couple of weeks ago. I've had this happen more than once in the past. Just thought I'd ask, it didn't seem the numbering would or should change. Anyway, just wanted to ask. Thanks Andy... And Kevin, yes that's the link I was looking for, thanks... |

the "bookmarked" link you posted shows a post-id of #16441 which is fairly recent! the link provided by Special_K has a post-id of #5436 which is clearly a older thread. if your bookmark is indeed thread number #16441, then your bookmark is for a fairly new & recent thread, not an old one. therefore, your bookmark must be wrong ...
