OK, between Terry Howard and I we took quite a few pics, over a hundred.
I'm not gonna bore you with that many, but I think we'll still have bunches. We'll start with a pic of Brad in the shop. Attached image(s) |

Friday we had to add some plastic balls to reduce the amount of fuel in the tank.
Gran Am allows 23.9 and we were a bit over. Now it's 23.6 and the Grand Am official put his seal on it to show it as AOK. Attached image(s) |

This is a picture of the team and car.
(L-R) Betim, Alan, Doug, Tim, Brad, & Chris. Tim & Chris own Mind Over Motorsports. Betim & Alan are mechanics. Doug drives the rig and helps with odd jobs (what I did, too). Brad is responsible for fuel and helps with stuff like tranny swaps, etc... This is a great group of guys, Chris and Tim really know their stuff and don't dick around half-assed. They do it right and they do it without hesitation. All the guys were great to hang around with and they all are great mechanics. Attached image(s) |

Friday we did some pit stop practices, actually LOTS of them! We shaved over 15 seconds off during practice.

This is what our pits look like in practice.
Fuel hose on left, tire rack in middle and tool box on right. We've got 4 bottles running air tools that are located under the tires and tool box. Attached image(s) |

This is Cody, Terry's son, in our Garage Saturday morning. You can't see just how excited he was, he hid it pretty well, but I know he was stoked.

This Cody, a couple hours later. He did the firebottle. Firebottle guy has to have a firesuit, so we found one for him. You can't see it but he doesn't have socks on, haha! About half way through the race I noticed that - oops!

This Brad, Cody and I after we loaded up the fueling rig. Our pump sucked (no pun intended). It was a hand crank pump and the seal and the handle had dried up and was throwing fuel all over Brad & I while filling it. You can see that both Brad & Cody were in firesuits, but since no one really likes me, I was ok in jeans - DOH! Actually, they had to wear the suits since they went over the wall during the race. My job during pitstops was to open the fuel valve and hold it open til the car was full.

Stop 2 Driver, fuel & tires.
Here David Murray trades places with Blake Rosser. In practice, we found it was easier to fuel if Brad climbed on the hood of the car, so here he is on the carbon fiber hood and fenders (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Attached image(s) |
