Thanks guys.
mepstein, where exactly would the bump be on a -4 rear caliper? Thanks again for the help in confirming. Bill. |

Don't mean to hijack a thread but I think the OP got his question answered. I have a similar question. Can anyone tell me what I have here? NOS units. I thought they were for a 914 (4?) but now Im thinking they are not.

But if you measure the mounting holes, six (M) calipers would measure 3" from center to center. 4's will be less. |

Thr fronts are -6. You can tell by the spacers. They are late model because they have the cup pistons.

I thought the spacers were only for vented discs. And the 914-6 didn't have vented discs from the factory. So they're not -6 calipers. They're 911 calipers.
Even if they were front 6 calipers, they aren't special. They're just 911 calipers, you can get them all day long relatively cheap and the spacers can be added if desired. The rear 6 calipers are unique to the six and command a higher price because of rarity. |

I know where you can get a set that has already been assembled with new parts by PMB, if anyone is interested. PM mikey914 |

Six's came with the same brakes as a 911T in front. . 3 inch bolt spacing calipers, vented rotors. .
Rear brakes were solid rotors and calipers had a smidgen bigger piston the the 4's. |

Thanks for info. I had purchased and installed some M calipers on the front of one of my 6 conversions. They are solid rotors. I wonder if they came from a 912. |
