Hey all,

Went for a drive this AM - the oil pressure warning light came on. Coasted home, and started trouble shooting. If I ground the green/red wire to the OP switch, lamp should go off, right? Simple enough, but the light stays on.

Checked switch, checked continuity of green/red wire from switch to light. Both are fine, but light never goes out.

Ideas? And thanks in advance.

If you ground the green/red wire at the switch, the lamp should illuminate. If you simply pull the wire off the switch, it should not be lit. If it is still illuminated, then you probably have a short in the harness somewhere.

Thanks, Timothy, that's what I thought. I ran a separate wire and everything works as it should. Probably in my nasty FI harness.
