I have a a budget for all this stuff for my car, and I can't get one single part here to work with. I can't find a front end for sale, I can't get CIS parts, I can't get... uuhhh.. I can't find wheels... where are all the sway bars? What happened to the... everything?
Where is all the stuff when I AM READY? When is the next blue moon? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) M |

Actually, I am looking for a servicable SC front end, without a bar, so I can have my good pal Eric Shea turn it into artwork.
I am having problems running down a complete NICE used/reconditioned CIS rig. I need four 6x16 Fuchs, and a 911 space saver. I need a set of flares (FG is ok... I plan on maybe having to fix them one day). I need a bunch of shit. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) No, I don't need ya'll to GIVE ME A BUNCH OF SHIT... haha M |

Ok, PM me with a price... or a message to say... "and you can't have them! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/bootyshake.gif) " That's what Karl does. Tires are good, and a little curb rash is 'OK' M |

i can see why you're having trouble finding a complete CIS setup for a 914. i have a set of glass flares that yours for the asking (plus shipping at actual) if you want them. the backs have been slightly modified so you would have to invest some time with them, but nothing too horrible. contact me offlist if you're interested. |

Noted, and thank you for the offer.
I don't know what I am looking for, with the CIS. Everyone that I have called. (as far away as Atlanta.. so far) Hasn't been able to supply anything but parts based on me having all the numbers.. and a guy said he had a ton of complete working rigs, he'd call me back... :watchtap: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) You know how it is.. and when I go to a forum where the guys can spout CIS jibberish like a native tongue, I need a translator.. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) I contacted Miller FI by email, he's nice, and busy, you have to supply a few parts... like the whole rig.. heh.. Me not being able to find a nice rig is MY fault, so far... Many ideas out there, you know how the curve is on weeding out the crap. This is my cry for help, and I do apppppreeeciate it.. Really. I had a long day/night... I am going to crash for a few hours, unless I wake up, and stare out the window at my car.. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) M |

Yes, dreams.. you could call them that. In my dreams, the receptionist in Hell can't remember my name, and she calls me out of order.... eternally.. I wake up sweaty... oh yes. See my BLOG (!) For my understanding of CIS. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/pray.gif) M |

i guess i'm not up to speed on what you're trying to accomplish. that's okay. i learned a LOT about CIS-K and CIS-KE working on the Rabbit and the Jetta. i'd think it reasonably easy to call a reputable recycler and just order up a COMPLETE system from a '83-'84 GTI (CIS-K) or an '85-~'90 GTI/GLI (CIS-KE) -- or any 924. those engines have approximately similar performance characteristics to 914/4. or 931 (924Turbo) if you're trying to do a forced-induction thing, but working 931 injection systems are pretty rare... i'm in no hurry on the flares - i've dragged 'em around since 1978 or so. never installed. |
