Hi all did 914’s ever come stock with plastic chrome trim around the edges of the fenders? If so did everyone remove it mostly? I’m repainting my teener and deciding whether or not to put new chrome trim back on.

Most likely dealer installed or added by a previous owner. As far as i know, none ever had that sort of treatment from the factory.

Crap!!! Was looking for an excuse to put it back on after I’m finished with the paint (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) I liked the way it looked, but if it wasn’t stock or a popular dealer add on I’ll get use to it without it. Thanks for the info though

Chrome wheel well trim was popular in the 70's. If you like it then keep it.
