oil was dripping in a fast drip off of the oil filter and off of the bottom of the engine (center)...all of this action happened on the right (passenger)side of the car.....

Get some brake cleaner and a roll of paper towels.
Put the car up on stands and go to town. Snug the filter, maybe even change it, a piece of crud could be preventing it from sealing. With the area all cleaned up, run the motor and watch for the leak. KT ( don't actually go to town, stay and clean the motor (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) ) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/lol2.gif) |

Oil cooler seal blew out maybe? It's on the same side as the filter. I doubt the oil pressure switch would suddenly start a massive leak.
