I've had my Passat (my daily driver) up on jack stands for 3 weeks(I know - not very long in 914 time) and every time I turn around I need a new special tool.
The drive axle flange bolts are the same style as the 914. Not sure if it's the same size. I need a 12 pt key (similar to an allen wrench) that is 6mm. I can't find one at any local tool or auto stores - they don't even know what I'm talking about much less have one in stock. I can't wait for another 5 days to order this thing online so if anyone from Burlingame to San Jose area has one, I'd be glad to trade a day's use for a beer or two. TIA |
