Hi everybody. 914-4, 1973 model, I have a problem with my headlamps, (with the ignition switch off) they continually cycling up and down when the headlamp switch is in the "OFF" position, they work just fine when the headlamp switch is pulled out "ON", has anybody any ideas please. Cheers.

I had a similar problem one time. Except the lights would alternately go up and down
L then R. Like a dance! Not sure how it works , not an electrical expert, but I replaced one of the relays that is mounted at the headlite Itself. Worked for me. Just an idea.
Check all the relays and grounds. Clean them. Then begin testing for continuity.
Someone with more expertise will chime in.

Check the Relay... or the switch itself, if both are doing it in tandem.
