Someone should go grab those Fuchs

They are already gone. The PNP staff removes them first

As of 3pm today: Useful items still claimable included:

- engine
- trans (tail shift)
- linkage
- headlight motors
- decent seat outers
- rear suspension arms (no driveshafts)
- front suspension & steering, skid plate in good condition
- both doors (handles gone, glass still there drivers side)
- one caliper, Right front
- fuel tank & fittings
- blower assy, vents,
- most of the loom intact still
- steering column (no wheel)

The chassis had been shunted both and rear. The floors are in great shape though! Many of the outer panels were not straight - but the longs looked reasonable. VIN confirmed as above (Karmann number was 4539514)

Bear in mind this was only true earlier today, things may be very different now!

FYI....

- Tony

Yes it's mine, well WAS mine. I call UCPD as car went missing. They tell me call Fremont PD. They have it, but after 33 years in a closed garage ownership info at DMV not in system. I have a bill of sale txf, and was only using car for parts. Was on Jack-stands, and i put the Fuchs on to roll onto tow truck the next day. Well exact odometer reading, chassis and Vin numbers and many pix plus signed bill of sale was not enough for Fremont PD to let me go get my Fuchs. Even metal stamped a unique Identifier on them. They wouldn't help at all, "I can't release that to you, only the registered owner, they (FPD) also would not; say where it was, say why they had it when It was parked in Union City or let me get my rims "Says here that the car was BADLY BURNT, so your tires and rims are probably melted anyway."
This was back in July. Then few weeks ago neighbor comes over says there's a 914 at PNP with decent floors and longs.. Check PNP inventory and SOB ! Nice picture Pick-N-Steal, looks good for a burnt car!
